Bootcamp at the University of Thies from January 3rd to January 9th 2010

A bootcamp on Mobile and Web Design for Senegal was organized in Thies for 24 students of the University of Thies in January 2010 (3/1/2010 - 1/9/2010). After the bootcamp the students worked on improving their applications to distribute them to students at the University and to submit them to the Nokia Calling All Innovators Competition. The Web sites were also finalized and delivered to their beneficiaries - the Regional Museum of Thies http://www.museedethies.com and the Artisan Village of Thies http://artisanatthies.com. One of the Web site projects (Web sites for computer science professors of Senegal) was canceled.

Tech Challenge for the students of the University of Thies from August 2009 to December 2009

The Tech Challenge permitted to select the 24 students of the University of Thies who participated in the bootcamp in January 2010. All students in 2nd year of LGI and LMIO at the University of Thies could participate. The team challenges permitted to select 3 teams in LGI and 3 teams for LMIO for the bootcamp. There are also individual challenges that permitted 3 students to win small prizes (books and Ipods).
